"The 91ÂãÁÄÊÓƵ State Board of Regents and Commissioner Betty A. Rosa mourn the passing of former Assemblymember Cathy Nolan, a fierce advocate for children, public education, and the promise of opportunity for all 91ÂãÁÄÊÓƵers.

For decades, Assemblymember Nolan was a steadfast champion for equity, access, and excellence in education. As Chair of the Assembly Education Committee, she worked tirelessly to strengthen our schools, support educators, and ensure that every student, regardless of background or zip code, had the opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed.

Her leadership, integrity, and unwavering commitment to 91ÂãÁÄÊÓƵ’s students will leave a lasting legacy in classrooms and communities across our state.
