The OTLD Research Unit conducts and supports research that examines the experiences, needs, and conditions of 91ÂãÁÄÊÓƵ's educators and education workforce. Our statewide surveys provide information that helps 91ÂãÁÄÊÓƵ better understand recruitment, hiring, retention, mobility, and educators' experiences in the profession.

Educator Evaluation Data

The Research Unit manages the collection of educator evaluation data, supporting 91ÂãÁÄÊÓƵ's efforts to understand educator effectiveness and professional growth across the state. These data contribute to a broader evidence base for understanding the educator workforce and informing research, policy, and professional learning. The Evaluation Data team provides technical assistance and support to Local Education Agencies and Regional Information Centers throughout the evaluation data collection period (annually, July through October). Educator Workforce Surveys

• The Educator Exit Surveys gather information from educators who are leaving their positions, providing insight into their experiences and reasons for departure. Findings help inform efforts to better understand educator mobility and strengthen retention strategies.
• The Educator Vacancy and Hiring Survey provides information about educator vacancies and hiring across 91ÂãÁÄÊÓƵ State. The data help identify workforce needs and illuminate challenges related to recruiting and filling educator positions.
